I was born in Milan from a multicultural family. My dad was from Trieste, in the north east of Italy (probably the main culprit for my love of alcohol) and my mum is from Germany, Liberia and Sweden. this mixed background gifted me a very open mind and a passionate interest in everything that is different.

Ever since I was a child creativity has been my forte and my means of expressing it have been ever evolving. At first through Martial Arts, then through Skateboarding and then through my first big love, music.

As a teenager being an artist helped me mold myself into the man I am today. At first it was a Hard Rock Band with my childhood friends, then rapping and finally producing. Thanks to 20hz, a small independent record label that believed in me and helped me release my first records I began making a name for myself in the Milan Rap Scene of the early 2010s but the fact that my lyrics were in english (fun fact, I’ve been “thinking in english” ever since I can remember) didn’t help my cause in a country that notoriously struggles with the language. This made me decide to move to London to take my career to the next level and to study a Bachelor in Audio Production at SAE.

Within my first year of studies I realised the little money I had saved wasn’t going to be enough to survive in the notoriously expensive London, so I decided to find a part-time job. I had a flatmate at the time who worked in a cocktail bar in Paradise Row, Bethnal Green. Paradise Row is a former dodgy alley near Bethnal Green station that got transformed by gentrification and turned into a bustling corner full of beautiful Restaurants and Bars. After becoming a regular customer and building a friendship with the staff of many of these bars I decided it would be a great place to start looking for a part-time job, so I asked around if anyone needed some help and before long Resident of Paradise Row took me on as a part time Bartender.

I had to learn fast and I was quickly overwhelmed by the job. I remember vividly thinking after my first shift “I’m never doing this again. it’s too much” but luckily I stuck around. At first it started growing on me as a fun side hustle because of… you know, the classic reasons: you party a lot, meet a lot of girls and it’s never boring. but within the first year I started becoming so passionate about the job and at the same time I was becoming increasingly annoyed with all the forceful networking and desperate self promotion in the music business. The seed was planted in me. I made the sudden decision to drop out of my dream college to focus on this new path and haven’t looked back since.

Hospitality has made me appreciate the small things, the details. It has also made me more focused and more appreciative of work as a mean to fulfil one’s life. It has taught me how to try and understand people’s needs and how to try to improve their day. Ultimately it has made me the man I am today.

If I could transmit even a little of this to everyone that crosses my path, I would die a happy man.
